Why so long for a family of their own?

One of the reasons is they are black short coated dogs.  It always takes longer for black dogs to find homes.  Foster mom Tracie had foster dog Jenner who was black almost a year before his loving family found him. The pups mom Gala also took some time for a family. Shelters say black dogs are always around the longest and are often the ones put down for lack of space, so sad.   I have a friend that says she will only adopt black dogs now due to this.  Both girls are dolls in their own special way.
